Why We Exist
Meerut Mental Health Goes Beyond the Therapy Room
It’s a reflection of where we come from, what we believe in, and the kind of care we wish more people had access to.
A Note From the Founder of Meerut Mental Health
Hi, I’m Bushra!
I am a therapist, social worker, and the founder of Meerut Mental Health.
When I created Meerut Mental Health, I wanted to build a practice that was more than just a place for therapy, it’s a space where people feel seen, valued, and understood. Our work is grounded in the belief that identity matters and that the systems around us shape our mental health in powerful ways. Our logo, the jasmine flower, embodies this vision. Jasmine blooms in the dark, a reminder that healing and growth often take root in life’s most challenging moments. It reflects resilience, hope, and the quiet strength that exists within each of us.
I envisioned a practice that welcomes people from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences, including those who have not always felt represented or cared for in traditional therapy spaces. We are here for everyone, because mental health is universal, and every story deserves care and respect.
Most of our clients are navigating big transitions, whether that’s starting college, switching careers, starting or ending relationships, becoming parents, moving through grief, or figuring out who they are outside of expectations. Many are the first in their families to ever go to therapy. We don’t take that lightly here. We’re not here to tell you what to do, We’re here to support you, laugh with you, sit with you, and help you reconnect with the version of yourself you’ve been missing.
Thanks for being here. I hope this space feels like one where you can finally meet all the parts that make you, you.

What We Believe & What We Stand For
Beliefs That Shape How We Care, Connect, and Create Impact.
-
Everyone deserves to be seen
Your identity, culture, and story are not side notes, they’re central to how we show up for you.
-
Healing happens in relationship
Transformation starts when you feel safe, heard, and deeply supported, not analyzed from a distance.
-
Community care creates change
Therapy doesn’t just help individuals. It ripples outward into families, workplaces, and whole communities.
-
Therapy is political
We stand with marginalized communities and believe mental health care must challenge injustice, not ignore it. Here, we’ll talk about the systems at play, and how they affect you.
-
There’s no one way to heal
We honor the many ways people process, grow, and reclaim their power, healing is never one-size-fits-all.
About Meerut Mental Health
Meerut holds a special place in history. As the site of the first major Indian uprising against British colonial rule in 1857, it became a symbol of resilience, unity, and the pursuit of freedom.
That moment reminds us that transformation, whether personal or collective, begins with the courage to confront struggle and the strength to seek connection.
At Meerut Mental Health, we carry this spirit into our work.
Just as communities around the world come together to imagine a better future, we believe mental health care is about finding unity within yourself and building stronger connections with those around you. In a world that often feels divided, tending to our mental health is a powerful act of resistance against isolation, shame, and silence.
Our mission is to provide a space where healing is rooted in compassion, cultural understanding, and respect for your unique story.
We believe that each step you take toward self-awareness and well-being contributes not only to your own growth, but also to a healthier, more connected world.
Meerut Mental Health is more than a name, it is a reminder that resilience is possible, unity matters, and healing creates ripples far beyond the individual.
Our Story: One Rooted in History, and Deeply Personal.
Therapy That Feels Different — In All the Right Ways
What Sets Us Apart
Not Clinical or Cold
This isn’t a space where you’re just another name on a schedule. Therapy here feels grounded, warm, and real, without the clinical detachment that makes so many people feel unseen.
Humorous & Approachable
Therapy can hold both the heavy and the light. Yes, we’ll talk about hard things, but we might laugh too. There’s room for all of you here, not just the parts that are struggling.
We Get It
You don’t have to over-explain your identity, your culture, or your experience. We come into this work with lived understanding, deep respect, and a genuine desire to meet you where you are.
